Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Norristown, PA
Make an impact supporting K-12 students by providing speech-language therapy in a vibrant school environment. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists who are excited to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and foster communication growth in students across grade levels. The position is conveniently located near Norristown, PA, with services provided at 3111 West Allegheny Ave. in Philadelphia.
Ideal candidates will possess experience or strong skills working in school settings and are passionate about making a difference in students’ educational journeys.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Pennsylvania SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a K-12 or school-based environment desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams
- Develop engaging, age-appropriate therapy activities
- Provide consultative services and resources to school staff as needed
This position is full-time, scheduled for 5 days per week, and covers the Extended School Year (ESY) and the 26/27 school year. You’ll have the opportunity to support students from kindergarten through twelfth grade as they strive toward their communication goals.
