Caseload: Approximately 35 students (K–12)
Position Overview
The Beloit School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services to a K–12 student population. This role involves supporting students with a variety of communication disorders while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success in the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and small group settings
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic communication disorders
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Maintain a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students, ensuring high-quality, individualized support
Conduct formal and informal assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, psychologists, and families to support student progress
Provide consultation and training to staff regarding communication strategies and accommodations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and service logs
Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active Wisconsin SLP License (or eligibility to obtain)
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (CFs encouraged to apply)
Experience working with school-aged children (K–12) preferred
Strong knowledge of IEP processes, special education law, and compliance requirements
