Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as required for school-based practice
  • Experience working with K-12 students in an educational or pediatric setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for a broad range of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy to students, both individually and in small groups
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Document progress, prepare reports for IEP meetings, and maintain detailed records in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and families to ensure alignment of therapy with classroom objectives
  • Participate in team meetings, provide consultation to educational staff, and share strategies for supporting communication goals in the classroom
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education to enhance service delivery
