Make a meaningful impact working with students in grades 8 through 12 as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a flexible, part-time contract basis. This assignment serves a caseload of 18 students and includes both direct therapy and some consultative responsibilities, allowing you to utilize your expertise while supporting educational success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working as a school-based SLP, particularly with secondary students (grades 8–12), is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for effective work with educators, families, and students
- Comfort with both individual and small group interventions, as well as consultative services
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled speech-language therapy to students in grades 8–12, based on IEP goals and student needs
- Conduct consultations with educational staff and families, providing recommendations and support
- Document services, maintain up-to-date records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to develop strategies that promote speech-language success in the classroom
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to help students achieve meaningful outcomes
