Speech Language Pathologist in Parkville, MD
Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students across the Baltimore area as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) in a contract role with flexible assignment options. You’ll work directly in schools and community preschool locations, making a difference for learners with diverse communication needs. Full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time (30 hours/week) positions are open, including itinerant preschool coverage, elementary (PreK-5), and secondary (6-8) assignments. Some roles require supervision of an SLPA to deliver collaborative services.
Start dates range from January to March 2026, with most roles extending into summer session coverage (ESY) through July. Engage with young learners from preschool through middle school in dynamic educational settings near Parkville, MD.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland professional SLP licensure required; candidates must present credentials.
- School-based experience preferred; targeted pay varies based on years in the field.
- Mandatory district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review as per House Bill 486.
- Supervisory experience or willingness to oversee SLPAs for secondary school assignments.
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to changing caseload needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to assigned caseloads across community preschool, elementary, and middle schools.
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized educational plans.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and team members.
- Maintain punctual documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Supervise SLPA services as needed and participate in team meetings.
