School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Ballston Spa, New York
Make a difference this school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with elementary students in a supportive, collaborative environment. This contract position offers the chance to impact the lives of kindergarten through 5th-grade learners, providing essential speech and language services.
Your day will run from 7:45am to 2:45pm, Monday through Friday, aligning with regular school hours and ensuring a consistent, family-friendly schedule. From the moment you start—ASAP through June—you’ll deliver approximately 9 sessions daily, with time built in for lunch and two planning periods. Caseloads are flexible and based on school scheduling needs, ensuring you have time to focus on quality interventions for each student.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid SLP license and SLP-CCC certification
- Experienced working with school-aged children, ideally in a K-5 setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside teachers, parents, and support staff
- Organizational abilities to manage session planning and documentation
- Dedication to providing individualized support to diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language sessions with elementary students (K-5)
- Evaluate, develop, and implement IEPs based on student needs
- Collaborate with educational teams to support language development in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and keep families informed of student progress
- Participate in planning meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
