School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Support one elementary campus near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, providing critical services to children in grades 1 through 6—with likely focus on grades 3-4 or 5-6. We are seeking two certified professionals for this full-time role, structured around a 35-hour workweek from 7:45 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the school year term from August to late May. The district’s preference is for independently licensed SLPs holding the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), as supervision duties are not part of this assignment.
Qualifications:
- Louisiana licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with current ASHA CCC required
- Previous experience supporting school-aged children (grades 1-6 preferred)
- Ability to manage a full caseload, providing therapy, evaluations, and documentation effectively
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Commitment to the academic year and consistent attendance
What You Will Do:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to support student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and district guidelines
- Foster inclusive, supportive classroom environments
