School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Des Plaines, Illinois
A middle school in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification to support a caseload of 42-50 students. This contract position is available for the current school year and involves approximately 35 hours per week, providing services that promote effective communication and learning outcomes for middle school students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois license as an SLP
- Illinois Professional Educator’s License (PEL) through the ISBE
- Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school settings preferred, especially middle school age groups
