A part-time, contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school-based settings to provide services 2-3 days per week with flexible scheduling. This role is based in Joliet, IL, and offers the chance to work directly with students within an educational environment.

Key responsibilities include conducting bilingual (Spanish-English) speech evaluations and providing therapeutic support to students. Proficiency in Spanish is a must, as you will be performing assessments and interventions tailored to bilingual learners. The role involves utilizing VOCO (VBD: Maggie) software for documentation and reporting purposes, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Credentials of Clinical Competence (CCC) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in school and/or pediatric healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy practices is beneficial.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive bilingual speech and language evaluations for students.
  • Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
  • Maintaining accurate records and progress notes using VOCO software.
