This assignment spans the academic year, running from August 12, 2026 to May 27, 2027, offering steady work in a supportive school environment just outside Athens, AL. You’ll serve an estimated caseload of 55 students, collaborating with other educators and families to help young learners thrive.

Whether you’re a licensed CCC-SLP or an SLP-CFY working toward your certification, your expertise and enthusiasm will support children’s academic and social success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Alabama license as a CCC-SLP or SLP-CFY
  • Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations (PreK–8th grade)
  • Familiarity with IEPs and school-based service delivery
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset to partner with teachers, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer consultative support and training for staff and parents
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
