School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Brighton, Colorado
Ready to make a difference in students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist? This onsite opportunity for a contract assignment from August 4, 2024, through May 21, 2027, offers the chance to positively impact high schoolers in a supportive educational environment. This role focuses on delivering speech services across Centaurus and Justice High Schools in Lafayette and Louisville. The flexible 0.6 FTE schedule (24 hours per week) will be determined in collaboration with the school’s leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active CDE license, or confirmation it’s in process (SLP-CCC highly preferred; SLPA applications cannot be considered)
- Minimum of one year of classroom-based speech therapy experience in a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for eligible students
- Develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other service providers to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough and compliant records, progress notes, and evaluations in line with district and state regulations
- Participate in IEP/eligibility meetings and team consultations as required
- Stay current with best practices, professional developments, and applicable laws related to school-based SLP services
