A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Englewood, CO, providing services to students ranging from mild to severe needs. Key qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Active state teaching or clinical certification in speech-language pathology (CDE certification required)
- Experience assessing and treating mild to severe speech and language disorders within school settings
- Previous work with elementary through high school students preferred
- Ability to provide onsite therapy services; willingness to travel considered a plus
- No recent graduates (Clinical Fellows) for this position
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of students in elementary and high school
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Adapt therapy strategies to address specific student needs and facilitate communication improvements
- Support a district facing staffing challenges due to unexpected vacancies and maternity leaves, ensuring continuity of care
