Pediatric Elementary School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Arlington Heights, Illinois
A contract opportunity is available at an elementary school serving grades K-8 in Arlington Heights, IL, seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics and school settings. This position runs from February 5, 2026, through June 19, 2026, working weekdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Key responsibilities include providing speech therapy services with direct therapy sessions, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), supporting Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and managing 504 plans. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is essential to effectively support students’ communication needs.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology License (SLP License)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Master’s degree in a speech-related field
- Proven experience with AAC devices in pediatric or school-based environments
- Familiarity with IEPs, MTSS, and 504 plan processes
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a valuable asset but not required
