- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP in Florida
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred, though not required
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and caregivers
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the needs of students with speech, language, communication, and related disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
- Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and voice issues
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support students’ progress within the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Engage families in understanding and supporting their child’s communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team initiatives as required
