Qualifications & Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong skills in evaluation, diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and social communication needs
- Conduct assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough records of progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other school staff
- Offer consultation and resources for teachers to support students within the classroom
- Organize small group or individualized interventions based on student needs
- Adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements in all aspects of school-based SLP practice
