Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Anaheim, CA
Step into a rewarding role as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with elementary students in a vibrant school setting near Anaheim, California. This part-time, onsite position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, allowing you to make a significant impact on students’ communication skills across multiple school sites.
Your expertise will support an elementary caseload with responsibilities that include conducting individualized student assessments, developing targeted goals, attending IEP meetings as a team contributor, and providing direct speech-language therapy. In this itinerant assignment, you’ll foster progress and empowerment for young learners while collaborating with dedicated educators and families. Flexibility and organizational skills are essential, as the role involves travel between locations during your scheduled 24-hour workweek.
Qualifications:
- Current, active California Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience with school-based caseloads, preferably at the elementary level
- Familiarity with SEIS (Special Education Information System) preferred
- Pediatric SLP and teletherapy experience beneficial, but not required
- Commitment to fostering student growth and collaborative IEP participation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech and language needs for assigned caseload
- Develop and implement individualized communication goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct, evidence-based therapy to students, adapting techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation
- Travel between school sites as required
