A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving a specialized program at a high school in Ludlow, MA. This role focuses on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences within the Compass High Program, which emphasizes personalized education and skill-building for independence outside traditional classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to high school students in a specialized educational setting
- Supervise and collaborate with a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students’ communication needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Participate in team meetings to support student success and program goals
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification and licensure for school-based SLP services
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred or required for eligibility
- Experience working with adolescents, particularly those with ASD or other learning differences
- Ability to manage a caseload and supervise support staff effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families
Location & Schedule:
- Assignment based in Ludlow, Massachusetts (main client office in nearby West Springfield)
- Contract dates approximately August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027 (subject to official calendar release)
- Approximately 32.5 hours per week
