A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) program at a specialized high school setting in Ludlow, MA. This role supports the Compass High Program, tailored for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences, emphasizing personalized education to foster independence and skill development outside traditional classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services 15-20 hours per week, over 2-3 days.
- Support a high school caseload within the Compass High Program.
- Deliver services with a focus on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) experience; AAC evaluations are not mandatory.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create individualized therapy goals aligned with student needs.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state requirements and program guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, meeting all state credential requirements.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Previous experience working in school settings, especially with students on the autism spectrum or requiring AAC supports.
- Ability to work independently and adapt therapy approaches to a specialized educational environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
Location and Schedule:
- Assignment based in Ludlow, MA, with the client’s main office located in West Springfield.
- Contract dates: July 6, 2026, through August 7, 2026, with potential consideration for the 2026-2027 school year based on performance.
- Schedule of 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2 to 3 days.
