School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Albion, Michigan

What we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Michigan State SLP license (verify using the state-provided portal)
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred, especially with early childhood populations
- Capacity to work onsite—remote or virtual positions are not available for this role
- If offering Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates, a qualified supervising SLP must be identified prior to employment
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teams and parents
- Provide evidence-based therapy services to address a broad range of speech and language needs
- Monitor students’ progress and document outcomes in alignment with school and district guidelines
- Educate and support staff and families on strategies to enhance students’ communication both in and out of the classroom
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute as a valued resource for educational planning
