Desired Qualifications:
- Active Georgia SLP or SLA certification required
- Open to both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior school-based SLP experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering student growth in a diverse educational setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students, both individually and in small groups
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to develop targeted intervention plans
- Design and implement IEPs while maintaining thorough documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support students’ academic and social success
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities
- Employ evidence-based strategies and adapt interventions to students’ unique needs
- Support generalization of communication skills throughout the school setting
