Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Abingdon, MD
A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services in a K-12 school setting. This contract position offers a full-time schedule with a focus on delivering speech-language support to students across all grade levels. The role is based in Abingdon, MD, with a start date as soon as possible and a contract duration extending through June 12, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech-language disorders in students from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes.
- Utilize evidence-based practices tailored specifically to pediatric and school-aged populations.
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved in student care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) required.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Experience working in pediatric and school settings favored.
- Strong knowledge of school-based speech-language pathology best practices.
Location & Schedule:
- Abingdon, MD.
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week.
- Contract duration: Immediate start until June 12, 2026.
