Elementary Certified School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Abbeville, South Carolina
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Speech-Language Pathologist. Work closely with a caseload of approximately 45 students, collaborating to enhance their communication and academic success. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) runs from ASAP through June 2, 2027, with options for an onsite or hybrid model to fit your work preferences.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and certification, meeting state requirements
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and communication skills
- Comfortable managing IEPs, progress reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with a diverse range of speech and language disorders
- Experience or knowledge in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a plus, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s goals
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to maximize student outcomes
- Meet compliance standards while managing IEP caseload and timelines
- Provide direct intervention services to students in individual and group settings
- Engage in problem-solving and support to keep students engaged and progressing
