You’ll be in a state of wonder when you take an SLP job in Utah. The state of Utah features a great many natural wonders including its stunningly beautiful national parks: Arches, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion. Arches National Park contains more than 80 natural stone arches, more than anywhere else in the world, including Devil’s Garden and Balanced Rock. Less well-known but worth a visit is the relatively quiet Canyonlands National Park. At Canyonlands, you can view thousands of feet of river, with red rock pinnacles, cliffs and spires. Telluride, which had humble beginnings as a mining town, is now popular with Hollywood celebrities. Boutiques, restaurants and ski shops abound. Yet Telluride maintains its original charm and manages to host a variety of festivals, including the Telluride Film Festival, Bluegrass Festival and Blues & Brews.
In addition, Telluride, and much of Utah, offers mountain biking, camping, kayaking, golfing, hiking, river rafting, rock climbing and more in the summer. Winter is of course, for skiing and all its variations – snowboarding and the like. Last but not least, don’t miss Great Salt Lake that is over 2,100 square miles. With so much to see and do in Utah, you’ll have to extend your SLP job just to take it all in!
