Come experience history and patriotism during your next SLP job. There perhaps is no more patriotic a place than Philadelphia, and by extension Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is home to the Liberty Bell, and the Declaration of Independence was signed here in 1776. Philadelphia was once the United States capital city, and the first presidential mansion is here. In Lancaster County, also known as the “Heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country,” you can begin to appreciate the simpler side of life by observing (at a distance please) the Amish communities that have settled here.
There are many other entertaining things to do in Pennsylvania. For instance, not only is Hershey known as the Chocolate Capital of the World but also Hershey Park is just one of the many amusement parks nearby. Sesame Place, outside Philadelphia, and the Crayola Crayon Factory are also worth visiting with young ones. The city of North East is home to the largest Welch’s grape processing plant in the country, and has four thriving wineries. And for settling down, Pennsylvania is hard to beat. Money Magazine ranked the community of West Mifflin fifth in the “Top 100 Cities to Live In.” In addition, Penn Hills and Brentwood were listed at ninth and tenth for “Most Affordable Housing.” The towns of Horsham, Nether Providence, and Emmaus also ranked well. In many ways, Pennsylvania is the place to be for your next SLP job.
