Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Illinois, United States (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Next School Year Contract - Work From Home
Pay: $50/Hour
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our virtual network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students enrolled in virtual learning programs across Illinois. This is a remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions to students using evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' academic and social success.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued growth and development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records.
- Participate in virtual team meetings, professional development opportunities, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and relevant state licensing boards.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and other technology tools to deliver services remotely.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
