We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an elementary school team in Yuma, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working directly with students and collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy to students in an elementary school setting.
Conduct evaluations and participate in eligibility determinations.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
Provide direct and consultative speech-language services.
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
Monitor student progress and adjust services as appropriate.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other related-service providers.
Requirements
Active Arizona Speech-Language Pathology license — REQUIRED.
Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist PreK–12 Certificate — REQUIRED for school-based practice.
Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
ASHA CCC-SLP preferred/accepted where applicable.
Pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required.
Arizona State Requirements
Arizona's Department of Education requires the Speech-Language Pathologist PreK–12 Certificate for individuals serving as school-based SLPs. The certificate requires a master's or more advanced degree in Speech Pathology/Communication Disorders, at least 250 clinical clock hours, and the required examination/CCC-SLP documentation.
Additionally, the SLP must hold a valid Arizona Department of Health Services Speech Pathology license to practice in the state.
What You'll Do
Work with elementary-aged students with communication disorders.
Provide individualized speech, language, articulation, fluency, and/or pragmatic-language services as appropriate.
Support students' educational access and communication development.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
Must be appropriately licensed and certified to provide school-based SLP services in Arizona.
