Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech & Language Pathology - San Francisco, CA
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for the 2025-2026 school year to provide essential speech and language assessment and therapy services within an elementary school setting in San Francisco, CA. This contract position involves working directly with TK-8 students and collaborating with school personnel to support individualized education programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech, language, articulation, audition, and developmental screenings and evaluations for students referred for special education.
- Serving as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team by interpreting assessment results and contributing to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development.
- Providing consultative and advisory support to educators and staff on language program development.
- Maintaining consistent communication with families, school personnel, and healthcare agencies to monitor student progress.
- Delivering direct therapy focused on enhancing students’ communication skills to foster their personal and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Active California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
- Strong experience in assessment, evaluation, and consultation within educational settings.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting students with special education needs and their families.
- Knowledge of special education procedures, disability categories, and early learning or atypical impairments preferred.
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships with staff, students, families, and community partners.
- Effective communication skills, including active listening and appropriate information sharing.
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles is preferred.
This role requires in-person attendance Monday through Friday and offers the opportunity to impact students’ educational experiences through specialized therapeutic support.
