Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Lynnwood, WA
Step into an exciting contract opportunity utilizing your speech-language pathology expertise to support elementary students in a dynamic, collaborative school environment near Lynnwood, WA. This role offers a blend of professional growth and rewarding daily work, providing support across two (possibly three) buildings. The caseload is capped at 42 students, ensuring manageable responsibilities and quality care, and you’ll benefit from the expertise and assistance of three dedicated SLPA staff.
You’ll work with students from kindergarten through sixth grade (one site includes preschool students), primarily focusing on those with needs in articulation, social communication, and moderate language delays. This role does not extensively serve AAC or non-verbal students. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some meetings scheduled before or after school. The start date is immediate, continuing through June 13, 2027 (with possible extension for snow/weather days).
Qualifications:
- Current SLP licensure and ASHA CCC (Clinical Fellowship candidates welcome if supervision arranged)
- Experience or strong interest in K-6 or pediatric populations
- Familiarity with school-based therapy, articulation, social communication, and language delay
- Ability to collaborate within a large team and utilize SLPA support
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to elementary-age students
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPA staff, and other professionals
- Document progress and communicate with students’ caregivers and educational teams
- Participate in monthly team meetings and engage in ongoing mentorship
- Support students’ educational communities with professional insight and enthusiasm
