Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Job Description
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders within a school-based setting. The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic and functional communication success.

Location: Las Vegas Area
Assignment Dates: 7/29/2026 – 5/21/2027
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Caseload: TBD based on assignment
Age Group: TBD based on school placement
School Location: TBD based on district assignment
Essential Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals.
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students.
Maintain accurate documentation including progress reports, therapy notes, and compliance records.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication needs.
Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies to improve student outcomes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active Nevada Department of Education (NV DOE) Certification required.
Active Nevada Speech-Language Pathologist License required.
Previous school-based experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Requirements
Full-time immediate availability required.
District will coordinate fingerprinting instructions as needed prior to start.
Must maintain all active licenses and certifications throughout the assignment.
