Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Job Description
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders in a school-based setting. The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development and academic success.
Position Details
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Denver Area
Assignment Dates: 8/6/2026 – 5/26/2027
Position Type: Full-Time
Setting: On-Site Only
Caseload: Approximately 25–45 students
Age Group: K-12 students based on assignment
School Assignments: TBD based on district needs
Essential Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals.
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students.
Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support student progress.
Support students with articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication needs.
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) Certification required.
Active Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist License required.
Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates accepted if supervision can be provided.
Previous school-based experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Requirements
On-site services only; no virtual candidates accepted.
SLPAs will not be considered for this position.
Candidates must complete district background check and fingerprinting requirements prior to start.
Must maintain all active licenses and certifications throughout the assignment.
