An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a dynamic school setting located in Joliet, Illinois. This contract position spans the full school year, providing a rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills and overall academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to enhance student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development and learning goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Proven experience working as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently within a busy school environment.
