Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Eau Claire, WI
Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in both hospital and school therapy settings to work with elementary students in grades 2-3. This contract position provides the opportunity to support a dedicated student caseload and contribute to lasting student progress in a collaborative environment.
Schedule:
- School year position: August 25, 2024 – June 3, 2027
- Daily hours: 7:15 AM – 3:15 PM
- Maximum of 40 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license or eligibility in Wisconsin
- Experience delivering therapy services in hospital or school-based settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
- Reliable and organized with strong time management skills
- Dynamic and adaptable in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable working with a caseload of 28-30 students, ages 7-8
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support students primarily in grades 2-3 at the elementary school level
- Collect and document student data to track goals and progress
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and the supervising SLP
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions
- Maintain compliance with school district and state SLPA guidelines
