Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to inform treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions accordingly, documenting all clinical data accurately in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors, healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Provide consultation, counseling, and education related to speech and swallowing disorders.
  • Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings such as patient care conferences and rehabilitation reviews.
  • Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies as appropriate.
  • Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates or student clinicians.
  • Maintain compliance with ASHA and state licensing requirements, professional ethics, and codes of conduct.
