Key Responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing difficulties.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to inform treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions accordingly, documenting all clinical data accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors, healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers.
- Provide consultation, counseling, and education related to speech and swallowing disorders.
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings such as patient care conferences and rehabilitation reviews.
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies as appropriate.
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates or student clinicians.
- Maintain compliance with ASHA and state licensing requirements, professional ethics, and codes of conduct.
