Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous hospital-based SLP experience highly desired
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- CPR/BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Educate patients and families about therapy process, prognosis, and home care strategies
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Adapt to fast-paced hospital environments and support diverse patient populations
