Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication skills and identify areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' speech and language goals, including articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication skills.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, using evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and communication development goals.
- Monitor and document students' progress towards speech and language objectives and communicate effectively with team members and parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend IEP meetings as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Stay current on best practices, research, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology and participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) supervision.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students.
