Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and individualized treatment needs in school-aged children.
- Develop and implement evidence-based speech therapy plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide in-person therapy sessions to students, ensuring a supportive and engaging environment that promotes progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to establish therapy goals and monitor students' communication progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Stay current with the latest research and trends in school-based speech-language pathology to enhance therapy techniques and outcomes.
- Offer support, education, and guidance to students, their families, and school staff regarding communication disorders, strategies, and resources.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for students during therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Previous experience working as an SLP in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to assess and diagnose speech and language disorders accurately in school-aged children.
- Proficiency in creating and executing individualized therapy plans within an educational context.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support students in achieving their communication goals.
- Ability to work effectively within a school team and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff.
