Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Philadelphia, PA
Two full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) positions are available at an elementary school in Philadelphia, PA. These contract roles are for the current school year (CSY), providing vital speech and language support for students ranging from kindergarten through 6th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of approximately 13 students daily, focusing on articulation and language support.
- Support students with speech as a primary or secondary disability.
- Collaborate with a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and utilize the EdPlan IEP system to support student progress.
- Participate in quarterly progress monitoring without the requirement to pull students separately for documentation.
- Work alongside a paraeducator who facilitates sessions.
- Maintain strong communication with students, staff, and families to foster an engaging learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) with a Pennsylvania teaching certificate and all required PA clearances.
- Candidates with previous experience in virtual service delivery are highly preferred.
- Ability to be consistent, flexible, and engaging while working with elementary-aged children.
- Strong communication and organizational skills essential.
