This contract opportunity is designed for school-experienced, licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants seeking to help students thrive in their academic and social environments.
As a vital member of the educational team, you’ll work on-site with students at the high school and middle school levels, collaborating with educators and Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver services. If you’re passionate about fostering student success and interested in serving at multiple locations, your expertise is needed!
What You’ll Bring:
- Current, active Texas SLPA license (ready for immediate use)
- Previous hands-on experience working in school settings as a SLPA
- Ability to reliably commute to three set campuses within the Houston area
- Compliance with background and fingerprinting policies (must complete within three days of hiring)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Readiness to purchase your own laptop for use (purchase will be reimbursed)
- Proven adaptability and time management to work across multiple campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students under the supervision of an SLP
- Carry out targeted speech and language therapy activities in classrooms and small groups
- Accurately document student progress and session outcomes
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and supervising SLPs
- Manage scheduling and travel between campus sites
Additional Details: This is a contract position slated to run through late May 2027. Candidates must have all licensure requirements completed prior to start and should be available to begin as soon as possible.
