School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Spring, TX

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity serving students across multiple campuses on the east and northeast side of the Houston metro! Experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) with an active Texas license are needed to support middle and high school learners’ communication goals in a nurturing school environment. This rewarding role requires travel between three vibrant campuses and starts as soon as possible, running through the end of May 2027.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Texas SLPA license at the time of application
- Previous experience working in school settings as an SLPA
- Prepared to provide proof of licensure (screenshot required upon submission)
- On-site availability with reliable transportation to commute among Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School
- Ability to independently secure and pay for HISD fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
- Comfortable using your own laptop for work—reimbursement will be provided for the purchase
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based therapy under the supervision of onsite SLPs to help students achieve their individual education goals
- Provide support for speech, language, fluency, and social communication needs
- Collaborate with educators and other support staff to create inclusive and effective learning environments
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes in compliance with school policies
- Flexibly move between assigned campuses as needed each week
