School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - South Mills, NC

Your expertise will be utilized with a manageable caseload of 40-50 students, allowing for focused, individualized attention. With dedicated supervision from a licensed SLP, you’ll have the guidance and collaboration needed to thrive. This full-time position follows the traditional school calendar, with a start date of August 12, 2026, and an end date of June 7, 2027. You’ll work a consistent 37.5-hour week, fostering lasting connections with students and staff.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or related field
- Active SLPA license or eligibility in North Carolina
- Prior experience in a school-based setting or with K-5 student populations is highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with strong communication skills
- Proactive, compassionate approach with enthusiasm for supporting young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy activities under the direction of an SLP
- Conduct group and individual sessions for students in grades K-5
- Track student progress, document sessions, and contribute to IEP team meetings as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to generalize speech strategies
- Participate in supervision and professional development opportunities
