Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Santa Clara, CA
Step into a dynamic contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), starting this August. Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or SLP credential (current and in good standing)
- School-based experience preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds considered
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders in school-aged children
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising SLP (for SLPAs) or develop and execute individualized therapy plans (for SLPs)
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to support students’ speech and language goals
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in team meetings
- Engage families and teachers in supporting students’ communication development
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse cultural and developmental needs
