A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in Orlando, FL for the upcoming school year. Blazer Jobs is partnering with local school districts to hire a motivated and reliable SLPA who is passionate about supporting students with speech and language needs in an educational setting.
About the Role:
This position involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct therapy services to students. The SLPA will assist with implementing treatment plans, collecting data, and supporting students across a variety of communication disorders. This is a collaborative role within a multidisciplinary team focused on student progress and success.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active Florida SLPA license issued by the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
- Compliance with Florida Department of Education requirements, if applicable
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Job Duties:
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of an SLP
- Implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Collect and document student data and progress
- Assist with screenings and assessments as directed
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state guidelines
