Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license/certification in California
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Familiarity with supporting students on the Autism Spectrum is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion, patience, and creative problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Assist supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy to students
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and communication goals as directed
- Support and facilitate language, articulation, social-pragmatic, and functional communication activities
- Track student progress and document session notes accurately
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to generalize communication strategies across settings
- Adapt therapeutic materials and approaches based on individual needs
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
