The assignment runs through May 29, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities include working closely with students requiring speech and language services in grades 6-12. At the high school, the caseload is approximately 70 students, with services provided three days per week. At the middle school, the caseload is about 40 students, served two days per week. Many students are bilingual Spanish speakers, and while bilingual candidates are preferred, monolingual candidates will not be assigned to bilingual students. Therapy sessions are generally scheduled every other week or less, so total therapy minutes are less than the caseload numbers might suggest.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Texas SLPA licensure
- Experience in school-based speech-language assistance preferred
- Ability to complete district-specific credentialing requirements after offer
- Bilingual Spanish skills advantageous but not required
- Flexibility for prescreen interviews between 9–11 a.m. and 2–3 p.m. EST
