An opportunity is available for two Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) to provide vital support within a school setting in Jacksonville, FL. These full-time roles (35 hours per week) involve delivering speech services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate speech therapy sessions on-site by assisting a virtual SLP.
- Provide direct speech services to students following a traditional caseload.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to implement individualized speech intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure.
- Experience working with children in school-based speech therapy settings preferred.
- Ability to support both virtual and in-person speech services effectively.
- Completion of fingerprinting through Florida AHCA Clearinghouse or willingness to obtain new prints.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to working on-site at the assigned school location.
Location: Jacksonville, Florida area with support likely assigned to a single school site.
This contract position runs immediately upon placement through May 28, 2026, offering a consistent schedule of 7-hour workdays, five days per week.
