A contract position is available for a skilled School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide leave coverage at an elementary campus situated in the Saint Charles, MO area. This immediate need position begins as soon as possible and is anticipated to last through mid-October, covering FMLA leave with the potential for future extension based on district requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Missouri Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required
- Completion of district-specific credentialing, including fingerprinting and submission of TCN number
- Previous experience working with school-aged elementary children preferred
- Familiarity with delivering direct and indirect speech-language services in a school setting
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement IEP-based interventions for elementary school students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to support student progress
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services delivered
- Communicate with caregivers and teachers regarding student success and strategies
- Adhere to all state and district ethical, professional, and record-keeping standards
This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, and is based entirely on-site at one elementary school within the Riverview area. The assignment provides the chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic school environment, with resources and support from experienced district staff.
