Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Texas SLPA license (must provide screenshot upon applying)
- Previous experience working in a school setting as an SLPA
- Reliable personal transportation with the ability and willingness to commute daily between two specified campuses
- On-site availability; remote work is not an option for this role
- Understanding and acceptance of all commute requirements between campuses
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language support services to students under direction of supervising SLP at both assigned campuses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help students reach communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes according to district and state regulations
- Engage in regular communication with staff, students, and families
- Comply with all state, district, and campus policies, including timely completion/payment of HISD fingerprinting requirements
Additional Highlights:
- This assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through late May 2027
- Candidates will need to purchase a laptop (with reimbursement provided)
- Flexibility to adapt to campus needs is expected
