Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support speech-language services in a school-based setting in Providence, Rhode Island for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Provide direct services to students in individual and group settings
- Support data collection and documentation of student progress
- Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and supervising SLP to support student outcomes
- Maintain compliance with school, district, and state guidelines
Caseload:
- Caseload will be determined based on district needs
- Multiple openings and program variations may be available; details will be discussed during the interview process
Qualifications (Required):
- Active SLPA certification/license in accordance with Rhode Island state requirements
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
