Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Active SLPA license meeting all state requirements (non-negotiable)
- Prior experience in a school setting highly valued
- Solid understanding of speech and language therapy principles, techniques, and materials relevant to K-12 students
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language support to students under SLP supervision, targeting individual education goals
- Implement therapy plans and activities consistent with student IEPs and supervisor direction
- Monitor and report student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Support the integration of speech-language activities within classroom and small-group environments
- Collaborate regularly with supervising SLPs, educators, and families to ensure holistic student support
- Assist with screenings, data collection, and communication with stakeholders
