School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Port Charlotte, Florida

You'll manage a caseload of around 60 students, delivering interventions in both individual and group settings, and supporting students with moderate to severe needs, including some with behavioral challenges. As part of the school-based team, you'll also participate in IEP meetings and contribute to Medicaid documentation.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida SLPA license required
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with the needs of diverse learners, including those with moderate to severe needs
- Comfortable collaborating with supervising SLPs and participating in IEP processes
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and compliance with all school and district policies
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to students in general and special education classrooms
- Provide support and consultation for teachers and staff to foster language-rich environments
- Attend IEP and team meetings, offering input on goals and progress
- Complete Medicaid documentation and maintain thorough service records
- Engage in required training and ongoing professional development
- Travel between assigned schools as needed (mileage reimbursement included)
